Applications are now open for the Jesus College Cambridge Arts Research Fellowship 2026. The College is seeking highly qualified researchers to fill two Research Fellowships in the subjects of ASNC, Education Studies, English, Law, Modern Languages, and Theology. ## Eligibility and Application Process The Fellowships are intended for researchers early in their careers, typically graduate students in the latter stages of their research leading to a PhD Degree or post-doctoral researchers who have recently been awarded their PhD Degree. Candidates who have undertaken more than five years of full-time research are unlikely to be considered, although exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis. To be considered for the Fellowship, applicants must submit their applications online by 5pm on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. The application process requires two referees' reports, as well as the submission of written work and a 500-word statement regarding the importance of their current and proposed research. ## Benefits and Remuneration The Research Fellowships are fixed-term, three-year positions that normally commence on October 1, 2027. Remuneration for Research Fellows is set by reference to the University of Cambridge salary scale, with a starting salary of £32,882. Additionally, Research Fellows are entitled to free dinner or lunch, regardless of whether they live in or out of College.
