Yale SOM Announces New Scholarships for MAM and GBS Students

Yale School of Management has launched several new named scholarships for students in two of its specialized master's programs. The school announced the scholarships to make its education more accessible and to attract outstanding candidates from diverse backgrounds.

According to Evelyn Wilson, senior associate director of management master’s programs, the new awards are designed for students whose experiences and ambitions will contribute to the school community. New Scholarships for Exceptional Talent

The school is introducing a set of named scholarships for the Master of Advanced Management (MAM) and Master’s in Global Business & Society (GBS) programs. Each scholarship targets candidates who demonstrate excellence in specific areas aligned with the school's mission.

The scholarships recognize a wide range of leadership interests. They aim to attract entrepreneurs, public servants, sustainability leaders, and global citizens.

The Future Leaders Scholarship is offered exclusively for the GBS program. The Yale SOM 50th Anniversary Scholarship is a one-time award marking the school's anniversary this year.

Scholarship Application and Assessment Process

For both the MAM and GBS programs, all admitted students are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships. No separate application is required for this initial assessment.

Admitted students may also choose to apply for need-aware scholarships. These consider a candidate's financial circumstances for additional funding opportunities.

Merit-based and need-based awards are combined to create a tailored financial aid package. The school states this approach helps make a Yale SOM education possible for a broader range of candidates. However, Yale SOM does not offer full-tuition scholarships for either program.
