The Green Earth Action Foundation (GEAF) is now accepting applications for its 2027 Ambassador Programme, a six-month initiative designed for individuals passionate about tackling environmental and climate issues within their communities. This global programme provides participants with mentorship, training, and resources to develop and implement locally relevant projects.

## Programme Structure and Support

GEAF Ambassadors will receive guidance throughout their journey, with training sessions led by subject-matter experts. Previous training sessions have been facilitated by representatives from organisations such as the ILO, IISD, CCC, SAIIA, UNEP, UNDP, and WIPO. The programme focuses on five key thematic areas:

Selected ambassadors may receive support for the implementation of their approved local initiatives, subject to programme rules, budget validation, and compliance with reporting and financial documentation requirements.

## Eligibility and Application Process

To be eligible for the GEAF Ambassador Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

- Be at least 18 years old at the time of application - Demonstrate a strong understanding and passion for sustainability and environmental justice - Possess strong written and spoken communication skills - Have experience in community outreach and implementing local initiatives - Be fluent in French or English (basic understanding of English is mandatory for all participants) - Be available to participate fully in the six-month programme, with an expected commitment of approximately 5-10 hours per week

The application process requires the following documents:

- A scan of the information page of the applicant's passport - A CV (maximum of 2 pages) detailing past and current experiences, diplomas, and languages - A motivation letter (maximum of 1 page) explaining what the programme means to the applicant, why they would be a good fit, and how it will help them achieve their goals - A project proposal (maximum of 5 pages) including a project overview, implementation strategy, stakeholder engagement plan, budget outline, and impact assessment method
