The Presidential Digital Talent Programme 2026 - Cohort XI is now accepting applications. This programme is an initiative by the ICT Authority on behalf of the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Digital Economy to bridge the gap between industry requirements and the capabilities of the local workforce.

Programme Objective

The main goal of the programme is to prepare young ICT graduates for employment opportunities in the ICT and other sectors. This will be achieved by providing workplace experience, mentorship, and building professional networks.

The programme offers several specialization tracks, including Networks & Digital Infrastructure, Software Development & AI, Information Security, Data Analytics, and Multimedia.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the programme, applicants must have graduated with First Class or Second Class Honours - Upper Division from a recognized institution in the last two years. Alternatively, those waiting for graduation can apply with a recommendation letter from their university. Recent graduates in BSc ICT or Engineering are also eligible, provided they demonstrate technical competencies in core areas.

The eligibility criteria also specify that applicants must be Kenyan youth between 21-29 years old, unemployed, and not have previously undertaken a Government of Kenya internship program.

Application and Deployment

Applicants must be ready to be deployed full-time in any county across the 47 counties. Females, persons with disability, and graduates from ASAL regions are highly encouraged to apply.
