Applications for the Changemakers for Youth Programme 2027 are open until November 9, 2026, with a travel stipend available to cover eligible expenses. The Oxford Farming Conference Scholars Programme 2027 is also accepting applications, offering 22 sponsored places and eight Breaking Barriers scholarships for those in food, farming, and agriculture sectors. Both programmes target young leaders aged 18-35, with deadlines fast approaching.

Eligible young social entrepreneurs from eight countries can apply for the Changemakers for Youth Programme. Participants must hold a leadership role in an active venture addressing youth development. The programme, organised by ChangemakerXchange with support from the Drosos Foundation, will select 80 changemakers over three years. It includes a five-day in-person summit, though the 2027 location and dates are not yet confirmed.

A key feature is the available travel stipend. This may fully or partially cover flights, train or bus travel, visa fees, mandatory travel insurance, and necessary layover accommodation. Support is assessed individually based on funding availability. Participants are expected to cover their own travel to the summit city, but the programme covers accommodation, catering, and local transport during the event.

Programme Timeline and Support

The application window runs from October 13 to November 9, 2026. Online interviews will be held between November 20 and December 19, with final decisions announced on January 13, 2027. An online kickoff is scheduled for the first week of February. Beyond the summit, participants gain access to a global community, customised capacity building, and seed funding for cross-border collaborations.

Applicants must explain the social problem their venture addresses, their leadership role, and the impact achieved. They must also detail how their work strengthens young people's agency and skills. The entire programme is conducted in English. If covering travel costs would prevent participation, applicants are urged to indicate this in their application.

Oxford Farming Conference Scholars Programme

Running parallel is the Oxford Farming Conference Scholars Programme, now in its 25th year. It culminates in full participation at the Oxford Farming Conference from January 6 to 8, 2027. The programme includes two in-person leadership events, exclusive online workshops, and peer networking. Only 30 scholars will be selected.

Application Essentials

Prospective applicants should note the critical deadlines. The Oxford Farming Conference Scholars Programme has a deadline of October 16, 2026. The Changemakers for Youth Programme closes on November 9, 2026. Both require demonstration of a genuine interest in their respective sectors-youth development or agriculture.

Global South Opportunities (GSO), which shared details of the Changemakers programme, stated: "Applicants are encouraged to verify all details, deadlines, and eligibility requirements from the official source before applying." The organisation also clarified it does not take ownership of the opportunities it shares.

Applicants must submit their applications by the November 9, 2026 deadline for the Changemakers for Youth Programme and note the October 13, 2026 opening date for the Oxford Farming Conference Scholars Programme.
