## Applications Open for MORE HEALTH for Africa Program 2026 The MORE HEALTH for Africa Program 2026 has announced the opening of applications for its third cohort. This initiative is a partnership between Boehringer Ingelheim and Villgro Africa, aiming to support social entrepreneurs driving healthcare innovation across Africa. The program is designed to advance Boehringer Ingelheim's sustainability commitment to improve the lives of 50 million people through social engagement models by 2030. Through incubation, acceleration, and catalytic funding, the program empowers high-impact social enterprises to scale their solutions and deliver sustainable healthcare to underserved communities. ## Programme Structure and Benefits The MORE HEALTH for Africa Program 2026 consists of two phases: Business Foundations and Business Growth. The Business Foundations phase lasts for six months and focuses on strengthening the foundations of participating enterprises. This includes refining business models, building effective teams, and putting strong governance systems in place. Participants will benefit from coaching, masterclasses, and tailored grants designed to address their most pressing internal needs. The Business Growth phase also lasts for six months and shifts the focus outward, preparing enterprises to grow and engage externally. Through advanced mentorship, investor connections, research vouchers, and global networking opportunities, participants will work on market access, investment readiness, fundraising, and scaling their solutions. Selected enterprises will receive various benefits, including catalytic funding of up to 80K Euros, tailored support to strengthen their business models, investor linkages to connect with potential investors, capacity building through masterclasses and diagnostic panels, global exposure through a showcase at the annual Making More Health Together (MMHT) convention in Germany and one event on the African continent, and peer learning opportunities with founders from current and previous cohorts in the Villgro Africa portfolio. ## Eligibility and Application The program is seeking ambitious, post-revenue social enterprises operating in Africa that are committed to scaling healthcare access and impact. Eligible companies should have strong revenue traction (annual revenues of $300k), demonstrated impact (a reach of 100k people), a dedicated team, and a clear growth strategy to raise USD 1M+ in the next year.
