Applications are now open for the WomenLift Health Southern Africa Leadership Journey 2027, a 12-month fully-funded program designed to empower mid-career women leaders in health. The WomenLift Health Southern Africa Leadership Journey 2027 is now accepting applications for its fully-funded 12-month leadership development program. Designed for mid-career women leaders in health, the initiative aims to provide a supportive environment for participants to explore authentic leadership, build networks, and enhance their influence in the health sector. The program covers all costs, including travel and lodging, ensuring accessibility for selected candidates. ## Program Structure and Benefits Participants will engage in a comprehensive leadership journey, including two in-person residencies-Immersion (13-16 April 2027) and Lift-Off (14-15 March 2028)-alongside virtual learning sessions, group mentoring, one-on-one coaching, and a self-directed Health Leadership Project. The program emphasizes reflective dialogue, interpersonal skills, and leadership development, supported by a community of peers, mentors, and health sector experts. The curriculum is tailored to address challenges faced by women leaders in global health, including institutional and sector-specific obstacles. ## Eligibility and Application To qualify, applicants must identify as women, demonstrate proficiency in English, and be citizens residing and working in one of the following countries: Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, eSwatini, Zambia, or Zimbabwe. Additionally, candidates must have 10-25 years of work experience in health or related fields, such as climate change, food systems, education, or gender equity. The program seeks diverse participants from various sectors, including public, private, academia, NGOs, and philanthropy. Applicants must also commit to being in the CAT (+/-1 hour) time zone for at least 75% of the program to ensure active participation in virtual and in-person sessions.
